A short story about us

Hello, my name is Kalebtina. I am a mechanical engineer with my EIT license and currently working as an NPD and Manufacturing Engineer in the semiconductor industry. I have three and half years of working experience which started at Samsung Semiconductor in 2022 after my bachelor's at The University of Texas at Dallas.

I decided to pursue my EIT certification, two years after graduation even though the certification had nothing to do with my job at that time. I wanted to grow and pursue a different career path so I went ahead to register for the exam and took the exam without enough prep. Of course I failed the exam. I underestimated how much effort, time, and dedication was required to pass the exam.

During my college career, I worked as a student assistant for the Mechanical Engineering department and got the opportunity to be a grader for Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, and Introduction to Mechanical Engineering. For Heat Transfer, I worked with my professor for both semesters of my senior year and not only graded homework and exams, but held office hours and exam preps to support students. During this precious time, I grew to understand the need for tutoring options for juniors and seniors, especially for the advanced courses that the tutoring center did not offer help for. These are the classes most students struggle with and I am honored to be providing that support.

While prepping for my second attempt, I realized that most of the videos available were for Civil Engineering students and there was not much on the Mechanical Engineering topics. I was able to gather resources and watch some videos for the core topics and for the electrical engineering part. I want to bridge the gap between the resources available. There were some courses that I signed up for, but did not have someone to properly explain concepts to me. I realized that the easiest topics were those that someone explained to me and not just the answers from the textbooks or courses. My goal is to provide the support you need to pass the FE exam.
